Join Arizona Grape Escapes on an intimate, educational, and entertaining journey from Phoenix to various wineries in northern Arizona. The standard tour, consisting of no more than 10 guests, begins at 9:30am at the AJs shopping center on 44th St. & Camelback, with an additional pickup at Cave Creek Wines on Cave Creek north of the 101 at 10:00. Tours are suitable for the seasoned wine-drinker as well as the novice, but not for children. During the approximate 90-minute drive up the mountains our experienced guide shares information about the wines and prepares you for tastings. Including a lovely picnic lunch, you are guided through tastings at four wineries: Page Springs Cellars, Oak Creek Vineyards, Jerome Winery, and Caduceus Cellars.
Lunch and tasting fees are included in your tour package, along with a souvenir bag containing wine-tasting essentials. You have an opportunity to purchase bottles at each location; however, there are no alcoholic beverages served or opened in the vehicle. After a picturesque trip back down the mountains, you are returned to your pickup location at approximately 5:30 and 6:00pm, respectively.
- Standard tours are provided on most weekends (check the Schedule for planned tours) and cost $150 per person.
- A tour may be canceled due to a lack of guests.
- Private group tours (2 to 10 group members) may be reserved for $1,250.
- Specialty tours will be offered surrounding various special events throughout the year.
